Scammers love wire transfers. They are a fast and irreversible way to move large sums of money overseas. That’s why here at Coastal Community Credit Union, we ask some important questions before you send a wire transfer.

Our screening questions were designed by our in-house fraud experts to detect common scams. Try to answer them as honestly as possible, even when you are confident that your transaction is legitimate. If we spot a red flag, then we will dig a little bit deeper and warn you if your transaction doesn’t look quite right.

Scammers know we ask these questions, and they may try to stop you from answering them. Please let us know right away if somebody has asked you not to answer these questions truthfully, or if you feel uneasy about completing a transaction.
